Apartment hunters in London in search of new rental housing now have the opportunity to become neighbors to Prince William and Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales.
Mansion Global reports an apartment is available at Palace Green, a luxury complex neighboring Kensington Palace, the home to the popular royals. The second-floor apartment encompasses 4,216 square feet and includes four en-suite bedrooms and an additional room with a half-bath that could be used as a bedroom, home office or an informal living space. The apartment also includes an air-cooling system, which is uncommon in London’s apartment complexes.
As for the rent, the new tenant can expect to pay £20,000 ($26,527) per week. But according to Sarah McIntyre, head of rentals at Harrods Estates, “Palace Green is famous for its privacy and security, with some of the most prestigious homes in the city. The area combines luxurious amenities, lush green spaces, and a rich sense of history, making it one of the most sought-after addresses in Prime Central London. The building was the first project in London to introduce hotel-style concierge services to apartment living when it was built in the 1990s.”
Of course, there is no guarantee that William and Kate will offer the British version of the Welcome Wagon for the new tenants. Still, it’s not everyone who can claim the future King and Queen are living next door to them!
