Celebrity real estate executive Ryan Serhant has hired a new agent for his eponymous brokerage – and he didn’t need to use Indeed or LinkedIn to find this employee.
Realtor.com reports Emilia Bechrakis Serhant, the boss’ wife, is the brokerage’s new agent, based at the New York City headquarters. Mrs. Serhant comes to real estate after careers in maritime law and the land title insurance industry, and the public will recognize her from Ryan Serhant’s marriage proposal in Times Square during a television broadcast in 2014 and her subsequent appearances in her husband’s reality television shows.
“Growing up in a real estate family between New York and Athens, I have always had a passion for the business,” said Mrs. Serhant in a press statement. “When it came to choosing a brokerage and reviewing my options, and after weighing them all carefully, I ultimately chose SERHANT. – of course, that decision had absolutely nothing to do with my husband. It’s simply the best and most innovative firm to build a career in real estate today.”
