The Alaska housing market is now offering its most expensive home ever listed, with a $15 million mansion featuring its own airplane hangar.
Mansion Global reports the 3.2-acre property in Anchorage features a 17,000-square-foot residence built in 2012 with four bedrooms, seven bathrooms and indoor amenities including a swimming pool, a full-size basketball court, a games room, a home theater and a slide that connects floors – the latter is for residents and guests that don’t wish to use the stairs to travel to the ground level. Also on the property is a 5,477-square-foot airplane hangar that can house five planes and is connected to a private airstrip.
The listing is roughly twice the price of Alaska’s second-most expensive listing, a $7.25 million lakefront compound in Wasilla. The house is also being sold fully furnished and with a car in the garage for the next owner.
“It’s very rare to see this kind of home on the market,” said listing agent David Matthys of Re/Max Dynamic Properties.
