The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) has hired Astrid Vermeer as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO).
In her new job, Vermeer will oversee MBA’s managerial accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. Before joining the trade group, Vermeer was the chief financial and administrative officer for the Perkins School for the Blind. Earlier in her career, she was CFO for the International Foundation for Electoral Systems and CFO of the International Services for the American Red Cross. Vermeer is a member of numerous boards of directors, including the Collaborative Labeling and Appliance Standards Program Nonprofit, Consumer Reports, and the Climate Advisers Trust.
