One might not expect to find the star of a major TV personality living in a mobile home – but, then again, the Pacific Palisades, California-based mini-residence of “Shark Tank” star Barbara Corcoran is not your typical mobile home.
The New York Post pointed out Corcoran’s unlikely residence in a TikTok video by posted by Caleb Simpson, who has gained a following for his video tours of celebrity residences. While Simpson expressed surprise at Chez Corcoran – “Who would have thought Barbara Corcoran would have her own trailer?” he declared – Corcoran viewed her home differently.
“Here’s my Taj Mahal,” she said, noting that she paid $800,000 for the home and then paid an additional $150,000 for renovations – including the installation of a supersized bathtub that she said cost more than the residence’s furniture.
Corcoran’s mobile home consists of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a terrace with an ocean view.
“As beautiful as my New York City penthouse is over the park with all this space, it does not have an ocean,” she said. “And there is no arguing with the ocean. There is an allure to looking at the ocean that can’t be beat in my opinion.”
And while Corcoran’s net worth is in the range of $100 million, she enjoys the compact nature of her surroundings.
“It’s living small – I always feel like it’s almost living large,” she said. “I mean, I feel like I use every inch of the space. Well, everything I need is right there.”
