Billy Joel is making a comeback – not in the music world, but in the real estate sector with a relisting of a property that failed to sell 15 years ago.

Newsday reported the legendary singer/songwriter is relisting his 26-acre waterfront Centre Island estate in Oyster Bay, Long Island, for $49 million. The property – which Joel dubbed “Middlesea” – includes a mansion that is 20,000-square-feet and includes five bedrooms and eight bathrooms, along with a three-bedroom beach house, a bowling alley, helicopter pad and an inground pool.

Joel acquired the Centre Island estate for $22.5 million in 2002 and tried to sell it for $32.5 million in 2008. But no one would put bread in the Piano Man’s jar at the time, so it was withdrawn from the market until now.
