The California Association of Realtors (CAR) announced the installation of its leadership team for 2025.
Heather Ozur, a Palm Springs realtor with The RECollective, is the organization’s president for the coming yar. She has been on CAR’s board of directors since 2008 and was previously the 2024 president-elect. At the national level, Ozur is a director with the National Association of Realtors (NAR); she previously served as the 2010 and 2011 president of the California Desert Association of Realtors and was secretary of the Greater Palm Springs Association of Realtors from 2015-2018.
Tamara Suminski serves as CAR 2025 president-elect. She is the broker and co-owner of Beach Real Estate Group, located in Manhattan Beach, serving Greater Los Angeles. She is a graduate from NAR’s Leadership Academy and is the 2024 immediate past chairperson.
Mark Peterson continues as CAR’s treasurer, a role he held for 2024. He is a broker and CEO at RE/MAX Masters in La Verne and was the 2004 president of the Citrus Valley Association of Realtors.
Already on the team is Phil Hawkins, who joined CAR as CEO and state secretary in September. He previously served as CEO of the Pacific West Association of Realtors.
