A Cape Cod estate located adjacent to the Kennedy Compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, has been listed for the first time in a quarter-century for $19.8 million.
The 3-acre property known as “Port View” features a 9,629-square-foot mansion built in 1914. The residence includes seven bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, six fireplaces and views of the Nantucket Sound. The grounds include 500 feet of private beachfront, an in-ground pool and a hot tub, and a “wedding lawn.”
The property last changed hands in 1999 for $6 million. The neighboring Kennedy Compound was the home of the controversial investor Joseph P. Kennedy and his family, and the property gained greater fame as the Summer White House during John F. Kennedy’s presidency. In 2012, the main house was donated to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate.
