The Delaware Association of Realtors is now accepting applications for its 2025 Minority Real Estate Scholarship, a program designed to increase diversity among the state’s real estate professionals.
Eligible applicants would include Latinos, African Americans, Asian Pacific Americans, Arab and other Middle Eastern Americans, Native Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Inuit and Alaska Natives. Applicants must be permanent Delaware residents with proof of a high school diploma or GED, and preference will be given to American citizens. Applicants are required to submit three letters of recommendation, including one from a realtor and one from a supporting broker willing to serve as a mentor, along with a completed application and a typed essay.
Applications are due by Oct. 15, and the scholarships will be announced in December.
Scott Farnan, the association’s president, said his organization was “committed to creating equitable pathways into the real estate profession. This scholarship provides the support and resources needed to help talented individuals succeed in the industry and strengthen our communities.”

Double standard in real estate: Realtor are to be completely non-biased when it comes to race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. Yet we have all types of ethnic real estate orgs galore! Here in the USA we are ALL Americans, not African American, Asian American, Mexican American etc. People have fallen for the divisiveness disguised as PC. The Powers That Be don’t want you united, hence the division- this must stop!
So this scholarship discriminates against Caucasian/White people? Why? Isn’t that racial discrimination? What about the many Americans who are both White and Black? White and Asian? All forms of discrimination are racist bigotry.
