The Appraisal Institute of Canada (AIC) announced the appointment of Donna Dewar as its new CEO. Dewar begins her new job today and will officially assume the role of CEO on Nov. 1.
Dewar brings more than 20 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and membership-based associations to the AIC. She was previously chief operating officer with the Canadian Nurses Association, and earlier in her career she was director of national web and enterprise application services at the Canadian Red Cross. Prior to joining AIC, Dewar was the interim executive lead at the Federation of Canadian Municipalities.
“I am honored to become a part of Canada’s foremost real estate valuation experts,” Dewar said. “I look forward to collaborating with our talented board, staff, committees, volunteers, and Members to build on the incredible foundation that has already been laid at the AIC. Together, we will continue to achieve new heights for our members and for the public at large.”
