Nominations
How are nominees selected?
Nominees may be identified through industry research, public production data, professional recommendations, organizational referrals, or direct nominations.
Every nominee undergoes the same evaluation process regardless of how they were identified.
Can I nominate myself or someone else?
Yes. Professionals may nominate themselves or be nominated by colleagues, clients, managers, brokerages, lenders, associations, or other industry professionals.
Does receiving a nomination mean I have already won?
No. A nomination simply means you have been identified as someone whose accomplishments merit consideration.
All nominees must complete the evaluation process before final award selections are made.
Judging & Evaluation
What criteria are used?
Each nominee is evaluated using a comprehensive review that may include:
- Professional accomplishments
- Leadership within the industry
- Client service and professionalism
- Community involvement
- Innovation and influence
- Overall contribution to the housing industry
Who evaluates the nominations?
Every accepted nomination is evaluated using a standardized scoring framework by evaluators who are separate from WREnews advertising, sponsorship, and sales activities. All nominees are reviewed using the same evaluation criteria, and advertising or sponsorship does not influence award selection.
Is this a popularity contest?
No.
Recipients are selected based on merit, professional accomplishments, leadership, and overall impact—not public voting or popularity.
Nomination Acceptance Fee
Why is there a nomination acceptance fee?
The acceptance fee helps cover the administrative costs of operating a national recognition program, including:
- Eligibility verification
- Professional research and validation
- Fraud prevention
- Awards administration
- Digital winner assets
- Recognition materials
- Program operations
The fee also includes the recipient’s personalized award package and official recognition materials.
