Retired NASCAR driver Jamie McMurray cut $1 million from the listing price on his 34-acre estate outside of Charlotte.
Mansion Global reports McMurray acquired the property in Mooresville, North Carolina, in two phases: a $796,000 purchase of 28.6 acres of underlying property in 2011 and an additional five acres for $130,000 in 2015. McMurray listed his property last August for $12 million.
McMurray built a two-story, 8,774-square-foot red-brick mansion at the site in 2015 that includes five bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, and a basement wine cellar. Other amenities include a saltwater pool, a stone patio with a built-in barbecue, a detached pool house and a fire pit
McMurray’s NASCAR career included victories in the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 during 2010. He retired from racing in 2018 and is now a NASCAR commentator for Fox Sports and the CW Network.
