Former Ginnie Mae Chief Takes Role at Freddie Mac

Freddie Mac (OTCQB: FMCC) has announced the appointment of Sam Valverde as vice president of mission and community engagement within its single-family acquisitions division.

Sam Valverde served as acting president from May through the end of November, when he stepped down. He previously held the roles of principal executive vice president and chief operating officer after joining Ginnie Mae in March 2022.

Prior to Ginnie Mae, Valverde was a supervisory attorney advisor at the Federal Housing Finance Agency in the Division of Conservatorship Oversight and Readiness. Earlier in his career, he was a counselor for domestic finance at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, focusing on housing and consumer finance issues.
