One of New York City’s most prominent real estate executives has launched a new company focused on development, acquisitions, financing and fund management across the United States.
Marty Burger, the former CEO of Silverstein Properties, has announced the opening of Infinity Global Real Estate Partners. Established in partnership with Andrew Farkas’ Island Capital Group, Infinity Global’s initial focus will include office property-to-residential and larger mixed-use development projects, along with opportunities involving under-capitalized operating properties. The new company will also seek to establish a debt platform to fund both operating properties and new developments through construction loans.
“I am excited to launch Infinity Global, particularly at this time in the real estate cycle,” said Burger. “From development of world-class projects, to acquiring great operating assets and building platforms for debt and other real estate investment strategies, there are outstanding opportunities for the firm across the industry. Our partnership with Andrew Farkas and Island Capital will further strengthen our ability to execute and we’re already putting deals in motion.”
Burger was CEO of Silverstein Properties from 2010 through 2023. Before joining Silverstein, he was president and CEO of Artisan Real Estate Ventures, a company he founded in 2006. Burger also worked at The Related Companies L.P, The Blackstone Group and Goldman Sachs, and he currently serves as a trustee and governor of the Urban Land Institute and is on advisory real estate boards at The Wharton School, Cornell University, New York University and the Fisher Center at the Haas School at Berkeley.
