A full-floor condominium apartment on New York City’s Fifth Avenue has sold for $61.58 million.
The Wall Street Journal reported the unit on the 24th floor of Aman New York, formerly the Crown Building, encompasses 6,300 square feet. The unit was originally prices at over $70 million when sales at the property began in 2018.
The unit went into contract roughly six years ago when construction was underway to transform the property from offices to residences. The building was constructed in 1921 and underwent different names and ownership – including a period in the 1980s when it belonged to Philippines President Ferdinand Marcos.
The buyer of the unit was only identified as being from Asia and using a limited liability company to transact the deal.
