Airbnb (NASDAQ:ABNB) has announced the appointment of hotel industry executive Jim Alderman as head of residential development.
Alderman was previously a principal with Alderman Advisory, a consulting firm that he confounded. Earlier in his career, he was CEO of Radisson Hotel Group Americas, chief development officer and executive vice president at Extended Stay America, and chief development officer at Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants. During his career, Alderman has been involved in the acquisition, development, joint venture and financing of over $15 billion of hotel real estate projects globally.
In his new role, Alderman will be focused on working with for-sale residential developers building short term rental friendly accommodations.
