Century Housing, the Culver City, California-based nonprofit network focused on affordable housing and community development, announced the appointment of Jacqueline Waggoner as president and CEO, effective March 23.

Waggoner was previously president of the Solutions Division at Enterprise Community Partners, one of the nation’s leading affordable housing organizations. Before that, she led Enterprise’s Southern California market.

“We are thrilled to welcome such an exceptionally qualified and visionary leader as Jacqueline Waggoner to Century Housing,” said R. Steven Lewis, chairman of Century Housing’s board of directors and principal of ZGF Architects. “The need to catalyze affordable housing supply and solutions in California has never been greater – and we know that Jacqueline will deliver for Californians and lead Century into its next chapter with clarity and commitment.”

“I am honored to join the dedicated, expert team at Century Housing, an organization that has long been a quiet force in advancing affordable housing across California,” said Waggoner. “Throughout my career, I have always led with a focus on people – on expanding access to homes so that tenants and families can build better futures. My leadership approach, too, is people driven, informed by listening to colleagues and the communities we serve. I look forward now to working with Century Housing’s team, Board, and partners to build on the organization’s storied three-decade legacy of impact, set in motion by the groundbreaking Judge Harry Pregerson.”
