The Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) announced the installation of Kim Fairley as 2026 president.

Fairley has been active in the real estate industry since 2011 and is the broker of record for the Royal LePage Northern Advantage Brokerage in Sault Ste Marie. She is a member of the Sault Ste Marie Real Estate Board, where she served as president in 2017, and the Thunder Bay Real Estate Board. She has also served as a member of the Governance and Audit Committees and chaired the Broker Manager Committee with the Canadian Real Estate Association.

With OREA, Fairley has chaired the Young Professionals Network and the Finance and Audit Committee and was provincial director for Northern Ontario ahead of becoming president in 2026.

“I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of OREA president in 2026, working with our members, member boards, and organization real estate partners to strengthen the profession and bring affordability back within reach for the next generation,” said Fairley. “As realtors, we know the value that homeownership brings and I look forward to advocating and collaborating to reduce barriers to housing construction, bring more supply to market, and drive growth in our communities.”

In addition, Meredith Kennedy, broker of record at Millbrook-based Peterborough Real Estate, was elected 2026 president-elect and will also serve as provincial director for Central Ontario for the upcoming year.
