Las Vegas Realtors has removed an incoming member of its board of directors for comments made on his social media page regarding the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk.
Fox5Vegas.com reports Mark Sivek, a Realty One Group broker who was an incoming director for next year’s board, will not be seated. In a posting on LinkedIn, Sivek responded to a sympathetic comment on Kirk’s murder by writing, “He was a despicable human being. Promoted hate and violence. A real pos!! Live by the sword die by the sword. F*** Charlie Kirk! The world is a better place without him. Shame on you for supporting this disgusting moron.”
“Las Vegas Realtors is aware of divisive comments being attributed to one or more of our members on social media this week following the tragic murder of Charlie Kirk,” said the association in a statement, adding the organization’s leaders “do not condone hateful or potentially hurtful speech, and that such comments do not reflect the views and values of our association and professions.”

I find it a shame that the incoming director was removed from his seat. Charlie Kirk is being made a saint, but how soon we forget his vile comments about Nancy Polosi’s husband who was beat over the head with a hammer. Charlie Kirk’s comments were he would post bail for the person who assaulted him.

He said: “If some amazing patriot out there in San Francisco or the Bay Area wants to really be a midterm hero, someone should go and bail this guy out.” This was framed as highlighting perceived double standards in the justice system, where he argued serious offenders are often released quickly.

We, as NAR realtors, effective in Oct 2022 (date may be off) cannot comment or inspire racial jokes, slurs or religious beliefs so not to discriminate and a $10,000 fine. And because NAR is a private association the courts cannot interfere with the terms put out.
So, besides being fired will he be fined $10,000.??

This is the problem, he and many others have not watched one of Charlie’s campus debates. He was deeply religious, and and was never hateful or even disrespectful in his discussions. President Trump called for all flags to fly at half staff for Charlie. What happened when the Minnesota House Speaker and her husband were murdered in June. No such respect. There is so much gun violence in this country that I am in favor of flying all flags at half staff until sensible gun laws are passed…requiring Republicans to abandon their cozy relationship with the NRA.
