Madison International Realty, the New York City-based real estate private equity firm, has expanded its global presence with opening of its first office in South Korea.
Located in Seoul, the new office is Madison’s eighth global outlet and its second in Asia after the opening of a Singapore location last April. Jun Park was named as head of the new office, joining Madison from Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance where he led the real asset investment department as a team leader, managing over $1.3 billion of alternatives assets.
“Asia is a strategically important market for Madison’s future growth and today’s announcement marks a further step towards achieving our ambitions to expand in the region,” said Ronald Dickerman, Madison International Realty founder and president. “We have a strong existing client base in South Korea and the appointment of Jun alongside the opening of our office in Seoul is the natural next step for our firm, allowing us to strengthen those relationships by providing a local presence that means we can work even more closely with them to help achieve their goals. At the same time, Jun will be seeking to grow our roster of clients, at a time when U.S. and European markets are at a point in the cycle which plays well to our unique investment strategy. I look forward to working with Jun and am pleased to welcome him to the Madison team.”
