The private equity firm Silver Canyon Group has acquired Franklin Homes, the Russellville, Alabama-based producer of manufactured housing, modular residential, and multifamily buildings. The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Franklin Homes was founded in 1969 and its residences are sold through a retail network in 14 states. San Diego-based Silver Canyon Group provides non-control equity capital to established companies in the communication and networking, software, healthcare, manufacturing, and energy sectors.

Bobby Killingsworth, who was previously the president and CEO of the Fulcrum Building Group in the Alabama and Florida panhandle markets, was named president at Franklin Homes while Blake Jackson, currently the company’s sales lead, will be promoted to general manager.

Tim Kelleher, managing partner of Silver Canyon, said the private equity firm “waited for the right opportunity to invest manufactured and modular home sector,” adding that the firm is “very excited to be working with the management and team to grow Franklin Homes.”
