Egypt Sherrod, the real estate agent host of HGTV’s “Property Virgins” and “Flipping Virgins,” has joined forces with her husband and builder, Mike Jackson, in an all-new series, “Married to Real Estate.”, which airs on HGTV Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.
In the show Sherrod and Jackson use their combined expertise to make smart purchases, renovate homes and get their clients into the dream neighborhood they never thought they could afford.
While working to make their clients dreams come true, Sherrod and Jackson are also busy managing their family of six (3 children plus and a recent puppy addition). Inspired by their own childhoods, experience and success, Sherrod and Jackson believe in teaching their kids the importance of building wealth and being financially education.
Coming from a single mom who at times needed financial assistance, Sherrod respected how hard her mother worked to get out of that hole. Her mother’s dream for her kids was to never have to be in that situation. “Every parent wants the next generation to do better. My dream for my kids is they will far exceed us.” For them, part of that goal meant raising financial literate and empowered children.
