The Fontainebleau Las Vegas, a five-star luxury resort and casino on the Las Vegas Strip, announced the appointment of gaming and hospitality industries veteran Maurice Wooden as its president.

Wooden was previously principal executive officer and president of Wynn Las Vegas and was a member of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority’s board of directors. Earlier in his career, he served as president and chief operating officer of the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, vice president of casino marketing at The Mirage Hotel and Casino and vice president of operations at Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.
