Farmers Business Network Inc., an agtech platform and farmer-to-farmer network headquartered in San Carlos, California, has introduced AcreVision, a platform designed to provide farmers with property information when making land purchases.
According to the company, AcreVision offers free access data including tillable acres, productivity index, cropping history, soil type maps, elevation, slope, terrain wetness, comparable sales and cropping history across over 630 million acres and 15 million parcels. The platform culls dozens of public data sets in proprietary analytical models. As a result, farmers can receive up-to-date information about farmland parcels and local market trends in a single report.
“Land is the most vital asset to farming operations,” said Dan English, general manager of FBN Finance. “While the residential real estate industry has developed a range of tools to help value homes and land, that level of intelligence has been largely absent from the agricultural world. AcreVision empowers producers by providing them with the critical data they need to make informed decisions about their land and potential land acquisitions.”
