Variety Wholesalers, the discount retailer that acquired 219 stores from the bankrupt Big Lots chain, announced it will reopen nine Big Lots stores across six states on April 10.

The reopened stores include three locations in Tennessee and single locations across Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and North Carolina.Variety Wholesalers will reopen the remaining acquired locations in subsequent waves, with approximately 55 stores opening in the second wave opening on May 1. The remaining stores will open through early June and lead up to a grand opening celebration that will take place across all stores during the autumn.

Variety Wholesalers owns more than 400 retail stores in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic markets under the Roses, Roses Express, Maxway, Bill’s Dollar Stores, Super 10, Super Dollar, and Bargain Town banners.
