Twelve former agents with Massachusetts’ Success Real Estate have sued the company, which abruptly shut down two weeks ago, and its owner Stephen Webster.
According to coverage in The Patriot-Ledger, the agents said they are owed hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions and personal loans. Attorney Bob Ahearn filed three lawsuits in Plymouth courts on behalf of the agents along with a plumber who was never repaid for a personal loan made to Webster.
The plaintiffs alleged Webster owes them more than $540,000. Ahearn said more agents could be filing lawsuits.
“My phone rings everyday with another one,” he said.
Success Real Estate, which had offices in Marshfield and Braintree, announced its closure on Dec. 14 in an email and text message.
Webster did not publicly comment on the lawsuits, nor does he have an attorney listed in the cases.
