A New York City real estate agent who gained a wide following through YouTube videos of luxury properties has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly striking a New Hampshire police officer with his car and then taking off.

The Real Deal reports Erik Conover, formerly with Nest Seekers International, was allegedly pulled over by police for driving 25 miles per hour above the speed limit. Cameron Emmett, a police officer, was allegedly struck by Conover’s car and thrown 40 feet – he was taken to the hospital with a leg injury and was later release.

Conover denied the allegations at his arraignment and claimed the police officers fabricated the charges.

“I have everything right here, and it’s all falsified,” Conover said. “If anyone dares try to test my mental competence, I will eviscerate every single person with my intelligence right now.”

Conover was ordered by the court to remain in jail until at least his probable cause hearing. Police said Conover was arrested several days earlier on a drunk driving charge, which he refuted a lie, adding he has been sober for roughly four years.

Conover hosts a 3 million-subscriber YouTube channel that highlights luxury listings in pricey destinations including New York City, Aspen and Miami. He initially gained online fame as a travel vlogger before teaming with celebrity broker Ryan Serhant on a 2018 listing video. However, whether he is still involved in the real estate profession is unclear, as The Real Deal noted that the New York Department of State does not have a record of his license.
