Placemakr, the hospitality and multifamily operator, is launching a pop-up hotel in Washington, DC beginning March 27.
The Placemakr Buzzard Point is located within The Byron, a Greystar-managed residential complex within The Stacks, a nearly 7-acre waterfront development in the city’s Buzzard Point neighborhood. The apartment-hotel will be available for nightly, weekly, and monthly stays for a limited time, with over 120 fully furnished studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units available. Guests will have access to the complex’s features including a 10,000-square-foot gym, outdoor workout spaces, a multisport simulator, coworking and lounge areas, a game room with billiards, and indoor and outdoor terraces with firepits.
This launch follows Placemakr’s recent pop-up experience in Santa Clara, California, as well as permanent hospitality living locations in San Antonio, Pittsburgh and Atlanta. Placemakr plans to continue national expansions of both its pop-up and permanent offerings throughout 2025 and beyond.
