A Reuters review of loan documents issued to Federal Reserve Gov. Lisa Cook on an Atlanta home shows the property was declared as a “vacation home” and not as a “primary residence.”

Bill Pulte, director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, has repeatedly insisted that Cook committed mortgage fraud by declaring both her Atlanta property and a property in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as primary residences in her mortgage applications. President Trump has used Pulte’s accusation and his subsequent criminal referral of Cook to the Department of Justice as justification to have Cook removed from the central bank.

However, Reuters confirmed that a loan estimate on the Atlanta property, dated May 28, 2021, was not listed as a primary residence. Instead, the loan estimate stated, “Property Use: Vacation Home.”

Furthermore, there is no documentation that Cook requested a tax exemption for the Georgia home as a primary residence, according to property records and a Fulton County tax official. Instead, a federal form filed by Cook ahead of her acceptance of the Federal Reserve position showed the Atlanta property was declared as a “second home.”

Pulte responded to the report on his personal X account by calling Cook a “liar.” Cook, who is suing to block Trump’s efforts to remove her from office, did not make any public comment.
