Google (NASDAG: GOOG, GOOGL) is quietly running a pilot test that puts residential listings directly into its search results.

The company’s endeavor was uncovered by real estate tech consultant and blogger Mike Delprete, who noted the listings include “full property detail pages, links to request a tour, and contact an agent — you know, the core business model of real estate portals.”

The test is being run in partnership with ComeHome by HouseCanary, with Google insisting the property results are “not supplied or sponsored by listing agents or brokers.” The test is only being conducted on the Zillow mobile app in a handful of markets including Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, and Miami.

Google did not make a formal announcement of the test, nor did it confirm Delprete’s coverage, which sparked a Monday sell-off in the stocks of publicly traded brokerage giants including Zillow, CoStar Group (parent company of Homes.com) and Rocket Companies (parent company of Redfin). That trend has since reversed.
