Attention, Los Angeles-area realtors: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could soon be looking for a new home in your market.
Star Magazine, citing unnamed sources in its coverage, reports the couple are looking to be closer to the Hollywood orbit where they are on the hunt for new opportunities. Harry and Meghan came to California in 2020 after stepping down from their royal duties, purchasing a home in Montecito for $14.6 million.
“Meghan’s decided that being closer to Los Angeles will make life easier,” said the unnamed source. “She’s sick of having to lose 4 hours of her day in the car when she has meetings or appointments and the fact that their neighbors continue to trash-talk them doesn’t exactly make her feel welcome.”
The source added Meghan was fueling the relocation plans, adding, “She says they’re too cut off from the social scene in Hollywood,” reveals the source. “She wants to be much more tapped in because that’s when the deals really happen.”
The source claims Meghan would “love to get a second place in Brentwood or Bel Air like a lot of her friends have. But the reality is they aren’t in the financial position to run two massive households.”
As the Montecito home, that will most likely hit the market once the couple heads for Los Angeles.
