The Saudi Arabia real estate market size reached $72.11 billion in 2024 and is predicted to reach $132.65 billion by 2033, with a growth rate of 7.0% during this period.
According to a new report from IMARC Group, the government’s Vision 2030 reform agenda is fueling this expansion, with significant infrastructure investments and giga-projects designed to create new urban and tourism hubs designed to attract domestic and foreign investment. Regulatory changes allowing non-Saudis to own property in designated zones will bring in additional global capital while tax reforms and tenant protection laws will control speculative activities.
“Saudi Arabia’s real estate market is growing robustly, powered by rising income levels and expanded financing options that have made homeownership more accessible,” the report stated. “With mortgage down payments lowered to 5% for first-time buyers and innovative government housing programs like Sakani facilitating over 1.2 million families, purchase affordability has significantly increased. This shift broadens the consumer base and stimulates demand for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The favorable demographics, urbanization, and evolving lifestyle preferences contribute further to diversified real estate investments across key cities such as Riyadh, Jeddah, and emerging urban hubs.”
The Saudi market is also focused heavily on technological innovation, particularly in the use of smart city technologies, artificial intelligence for data-driven urban planning, and digital property transaction platforms to ensure transparency. Environmental regulations and a drive to net-zero emissions will offer sustainability amid this expansion.
“Additionally, the rise of e-commerce and logistics is increasing the need for warehousing and fulfillment centers, while shifting consumer preferences favor mixed-use communities that offer live-work-play environments, reflecting the integration of modern urban lifestyles with sustainable growth strategies,” the report said.
