The Trump administration is planning to continue its effort to remove Federal Reserve Gov. Lisa Cook by taking its case to the US Supreme Court.
The New York Times, sourcing its information from an unnamed “administration official who spoke on the condition of anonymity,” is reporting the Department of Justice will seek to overturn last night’s ruling by a federal appeals court that blocked President Trump’s attempt to fire Cook after she was accused of mortgage fraud by Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency. However, the DOJ has not brought any charges against Cook.
It is unclear when the administration would take the matter to the Supreme Court – Cook and the other members of the Federal Reserve’s leadership are meeting today and tomorrow to review interest rate policy. The central bank will have three additional rate policy meetings during the fourth quarter of this year.

REPORT: TRUMP TO TAKE LISA COOK OUSTER EFFORTS TO THE SUPREME COURT
The article states that “It is unclear when the administration would take the matter to the Supreme Court”
Why the misleading headline?????
The article states the administration was going to pursue this strategy, but no date was given regarding when they would file their request with the Supreme Court. Thus, it is unclear when it would happen, not if it would happen. Thank you.
