The Arthur @ Blackstone, an affordable housing development in Fresno, California, has officially been opened.
The 41-unit development offers a mix of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, with 20 reserved for families, 20 for transitional youth ages 18-24 and one designated for an onsite property manager. The property’s amenities include a meeting area, multi-purpose room, fitness center, and community laundry room.
The Arthur @ Blackstone is located in Fresno’s Blackstone Corridor and is based at the former retail site that was once home to the popular local businesses Arthur’s Toys and AJ’s Tuxedo Shop. The development is a collaboration between Fresno Housing, CVS Health, Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health, Red Stone Equity Partners, City of Fresno, Chase, the Department of Housing and Community Development, the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (CTCAC), and other key partners.
“The Arthur @ Blackstone is more than just a housing complex; it’s a beacon of hope and opportunity for Fresno residents,” said Tyrone Roderick Williams, CEO of Fresno Housing. “This project embodies our commitment to create sustainable, vibrant communities throughout Fresno County. It is also a demonstration of the value of partnerships that have made this project possible.”
Thank you for providing a much needed solution to housing; we should consider adopting this Blackstone model in more cities/towns a cross the USA and especially in California! Thanks again for proving solutions!
