The luxury homebuilder Toll Brothers Inc. (NYSE: TOL) and joint venture partner CanAm Capital Partners announced the opening of Lapis in Miami, a luxury high-rise apartment community designed exclusively for students at Florida International University (FIU).
The new 20-story community spans more than 763,500 square feet and features 293 units encompassing studio, one-, two-, three-, four-, and five-bedroom luxury rental apartments. The community also boasts more than 5,800 square feet of ground-floor retail space, a two-story fitness center with outdoor turf area, a computer lounge with complimentary printing services, complimentary coffee and cold brew, high-speed community-wide Wi-Fi, and a gated parking garage with eight electric vehicle charging stations.
The community was financed with a $103 million construction loan facility from Ocean Bank and the first residency was offered for the fall 2023 semester of FIU. Lapis is the first Toll Brothers multifamily project in Florida, and the company’s Campus Living division is responsible for the development, construction, marketing, and asset management of the community.
