Sir Keir Starmer has a second job besides being the UK’s Prime Minister – he is also a London landlord.
The Daily Express reported Starmer is renting his £2 million Camden townhouse since moving into the Prime Minister’s residence at 10 Downing Street. While the amount of rent being collected was not disclosed, similar sized townhouses in the area can be rented between £3,000 and £5,000 a month.
The news of Starmer’s landlord status was revealed in the new register of interests that outlines any conflicts of interests that UK government leaders might have. Starmer is not the only government leaders who does double-duty as a landlord – Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves, who now resides at 11 Downing Street, is renting her four bedroom property in South London for £3,200 and her two bedroom apartment in central London for £3,000 a month.
