The fruit food and beverage company Welch’s has announced it will relocate its corporate headquarters to Waltham, Massachusetts, in 2025.
The new Welch’s headquarters will be in Reservoir Place at 1601 Trapelo Road, a building owned by Boston Properties Inc. (NYSE:BXP), and it will consist of 60,000 square feet of office and lab space. According to the company, this transaction represents the largest office relocation in the Boston suburbs in 2024.
Welch’s will be leaving its 85,000-square-foot headquarters and technology site at 300 Baker Ave. in Concord, Massachusetts. The company signed a 12½-year lease at that property in 2012 – the company previous had its headquarters at another Concord location and its technology center in nearby Billerica. Welch’s worked with Cushman & Wakefield on the relocation choice.
“Welch’s is at a pivotal point in our journey where we are driven by ambitious growth and innovation goals as an organization,” said Trevor Bynum, president and CEO of Welch’s and its parent organization National Grape Cooperative. “Moving into this new space in the thriving business community of Waltham will offer unparalleled opportunities for our company and workforce and better position us to reach our desired state.”
