Existing home sales across Wisconsin were down 9.2% year-over-year in November, the first decline since May. On a year-to-date basis, closings were up 1.5% compared to the first 11 months of 2024.

According to data from the Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA), total listings were up 3.7% relative to their November 2024 levels, marking the 26th straight month in which total listings grew on an annualized basis.

The median price rose 4.8% to $325,000 in November and increased 5.5% to $327,000 year to date compared to that same period last year.

“While affordability remains a challenge, we did see progress in November, and there are some promising trends,” said WRA President and CEO Tom Larson. “Mortgage rates continue to trend downward, and the annual rate of home price appreciation averaged just 5.5% through the first 11 months of the year. We hope these trends continue and lead to sustained improvements in affordability in 2026.”
