Technology is only good if it is adopted and if it solves a real business problem. Too often, really cool technology is launched but it’s hard to use or it doesn’t easily do all that it claims.

In many cases, upper management selects a new tool, but real estate professionals don’t adopt it because it doesn’t boost their revenue. The executives behind a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) technology called Bonzo (https://getbonzo.com/) are aware of this situation and have come up with a novel solution.

If you’re in the dark about what CRM technology is, Salesforce (https://www.salesforce.com/) defines it “as a technology for managing all your company’s relationships and interactions with customers and potential customers. The goal is simple: Improve business relationships to grow your business.”

In discussing his background and why he thinks Bonzo is a unique CRM, Jason Perkins, president and co-founder at Bonzo, said, “My background is in technology and marketing. I became an originator, and it was my responsibility to make sure that any tech we were investing in was good for the end user. I found that we had a very low adoption rate of my loan officers and brokers using new technology. The technology was great for upper management, but it didn’t enable the end user to get more business. We wanted to create something that would be valuable to the end user, and they’d want to log in and use it.”

Today’s legacy technology is complacent, but end users are dynamic – they are always evolving, and they need technology that will evolve with them. Most people are also still using their cell phone to conduct business, which is a compliance risk. With Bonzo, everything is being logged and saved.

Bonzo is very simple to use, and it drives revenue to the end user and customer. I asked Perkins for some practical examples of how brokers and real estate professionals can use this technology to improve their business.

He answered, “With the click of a button I can communicate to all my prospects. I can easily communicate with referrals, for example. This technology helps you build personalized relationships. Also, you can hold ongoing conversations with thousands of people. The end user tells us how they want to communicate, and the technology makes it happen. If I have 500 past customers, all those customers are on the same platform, and I am responding to them in real time the way they want to communicate.”

Bonzo is always in beta, Perkins explained. “We are always working to make it better. We are doing new this with ChatGPT right now. You’ll see new AI stuff rolling out at the end of this year and early next year.”

Also, you can integrate Bonzo with anything, connecting to any technology with the click of a button. Bonzo has an open API. The solution is web based and it has a mobile app that runs parallel. Everything is ready and available for the end user on the go.

Companies like New American Funding (NAF) have recently scrapped their proprietary technology and now use Bonzo. NAF CEO Rick Arvielo called Bonzo “just the best [CRM] I have ever seen.”

“We are always striving to give the best tools to our originators,” Arvielo said. “And even though we have been relying on Bankerview [the company’s proprietary CRM] for a long time, when I saw Bonzo, I was hooked.”
