Evercore (NYSE: EVR), a New York City-based investment banking advisory firm, has hired Neil Wolitzer as a senior managing director in the real estate investment banking group.
Wolitzer was formerly a partner and managing director in the real estate investment banking group at Goldman Sachs, where he served real estate clients across a broad range of strategic and capital-raising transactions for almost 20 years. Prior to that, Mr. Wolitzer was an investment banker at Bear Stearns and previously practiced corporate law in New York.
“There has never been a greater need in the real estate sector for independent advice, new ideas and differentiated capital-raising capabilities,” Wolitzer said. “Evercore provides the perfect platform to meet those client needs. I couldn’t be more excited to work with such a world-class team of professionals to help serve our clients and grow our business for many years to come.”
