Billionaire tech investor Marc Andreesen has listed his mansion in the ultra-upscale town of Atherton, California for $33.3 million.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Andreessen – who co-founded Netscape and whose venture-capital firm Andreessen Horowitz were early backers of Facebook, Coinbase and Slack – and his wife Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen, daughter of the late billionaire developer John Arrillaga, acquired the 1.54-acre property in 2007 for $16.6 million. The couple made headlines in 2022 when they publicly lobbied against the construction of multifamily townhome development in their neighborhood, writing an email to their city council members that the new housing “will MASSIVELY decrease our home values, the quality of life of ourselves and our neighbors and IMMENSELY increase the noise pollution and traffic.”

The listed property features a three-story residence was built in 1995 that includes five bedrooms, an office, a den and seven fireplaces. The estate includes a covered terrace and a pergola, fountains and a reflecting pool.
