The published 2026 nomination period has ended. The information below explains that cycle; contact WRE News for future dates.

Participation & Eligibility

Who can be recognized?

The Vanguard Awards recognize individual real estate and mortgage professionals and teams for their performance, leadership, and contributions to housing.

How are nominees identified?

Candidates may be identified through industry production and performance data, nominated by peers or organizations, or self-nominated. All candidates follow the same structured evaluation process.

Why do I need to formally accept my nomination?

Acceptance confirms your intent to participate and allows the committee to verify eligibility, credentials, and performance information.

Is an acceptance fee required?

Yes. Under the published program requirements, formal acceptance and the applicable fee are required to enter the official evaluation process. The fee supports verification, data validation, and administration.

Does accepting a nomination guarantee an award?

No. Acceptance enters you into the evaluation process. Selection depends on the review of your achievements; payment does not guarantee recognition.

Award Categories, Levels & Fees

How are award categories different from recognition levels?

Award categories describe the type of achievement: Production Excellence, Business Growth & Leadership, Rising Professional, and Hall of Fame. Recognition levels—State, Regional, and National—define the geographic scope of evaluation.

What do State, Regional, and National mean?
  • State: comparison within a state market.
  • Regional: comparison across multiple states.
  • National: comparison across the United States.

Each level is evaluated independently.

Which recognition level should I choose?

Choose the level that best reflects the geographic reach of your professional work and accomplishments. That selection determines the peer group used for evaluation.

Does choosing National improve my chances?

No. A broader recognition level changes the competitive scope, not your likelihood of selection.

What are the published 2026 acceptance fees?
  • State: $99
  • Regional: $195
  • National: $245

Fees support the evaluation process and do not guarantee an award.

Can I change my selection after paying?

Contact the awards committee as soon as possible, before the review begins. Your selection is the official designation used for evaluation, so any requested change needs to be discussed with the committee.

Nominee Profile & Supporting Materials

Why should I complete the Nominee Profile?

Your profile gives the review team a clear account of your work, achievements, and professional impact. Provide accurate, specific information that helps explain your contributions.

Can I save the form and finish it later?

Yes. Save your progress and return using the unique access link provided. Saved links expire after 30 days.

What supporting materials can I include?

Useful examples include production or volume reports, verified performance metrics, sales rankings, industry benchmarks, documented results, and prior professional awards.

Are supporting documents required?

No. They are optional but recommended because they help the committee understand and verify your accomplishments.

Nominee & Recipient Recognition

What do Official Nominees receive?

Official Nominees receive a public nominee listing, a professional digital badge, and eligibility for consideration for State, Regional, and National honors.

What additional recognition do award recipients receive?

Selected recipients receive featured recognition in Weekly Real Estate News, winner-level digital branding assets, and additional industry visibility. The program overview also lists a custom commemorative rosewood award.

Will my nomination be announced publicly?

Official nominees may be publicly listed as part of the program. Nominee recognition is separate from selection as an award recipient.

Evaluation & Timeline

When are nominations accepted?

The published 2026 nomination period ran from February 15 through March 31, 2026. That period has ended. Contact WRE News for information about future nomination dates.

What does the committee evaluate?

The review considers production performance, leadership, client service, professional reputation, community involvement, and innovation in housing.

Who conducts the evaluation?

Weekly Real Estate News and the awards committee administer an independent, structured review using consistent evaluation standards. Advertising and sponsorship relationships do not influence selection.

How will I know my acceptance is confirmed?

After payment is received and eligibility is verified, you will receive a separate confirmation that you have entered the official judging pool.

When and how are recipients notified?

Recipients are announced after the evaluation period is complete. Selected honorees are notified directly by email; the published FAQ does not specify a fixed announcement date.
