The luxury real estate firm The Agency has teamed with the mortgage service provider Barrett Financial Group to create a new mortgage brokerage called Aclara Lending.
The new entity will focus on residential purchase lending by offering a range of mortgage products – including jumbo and non-QM loans – from approximately 140 wholesale lenders. Aclara Lending will begin operations in Southern California before expanding into other markets in the near future.
“This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our journey, bringing together a comprehensive suite of mortgage solutions with a strong focus on agent empowerment,” said Burke Smith, executive vice president of affiliated businesses at The Agency, in a statement that was first reported by Inman.
The new partnership with Barrett marks the second time that The Agency is offering mortgage products – it previously introduced mortgage and other ancillary services in 2022 through a partnership with CrossCountry Mortgage that was not renewed.
