A Fort Collins fixture may change hands soon as the founder of Choice City Butcher & Deli reignites a push to sell the Old Town restaurant and sandwich shop.

Choice City Butcher & Deli, which opened at 104 W. Olive St. in 2004, has been for sale since 2019, according to owner Russ Robinson.

At the time, Robinson said he and his wife, Anyssa Watkins, were interested in moving back to their native Ohio.

“It was after 18 years of doing this,” Robinson said Friday. “We just wanted to move on and move back to where our families are.”

The COVID-19 pandemic quickly put a possible sale on ice as restaurants across the country scrambled to stay afloat amid county and state restrictions.
