Toronto-headquartered MCAN Mortgage Corporation (TSX: MXP) (OTCMKTS: MAMTF) announced Donald Coulter has resigned as president, CEO and a member of the board of directors.

Coulter joined MCAN in December 2023, having previously served as CEO of connectFirst Credit Union. Earlier in his career, he was CEO at Concentra Bank (later rebranded as Wyth Financial) and at SavingsCoast Capital Savings.

No reason was given for Coulter’s departure. Board Chairman Derek Sutherland has been appointed interim CEO until a permanent successor is appointed. Sutherland had previously served as interim CEO in 2023 prior to Coulter’s appointment.

“I am excited to work alongside our talented and dedicated team to ensure continued strong performance and achievement of our objectives, which remains to be a focus on our core mission of providing sustainable growth and returns to our shareholders,” said Sutherland.
