The $48 million price tag on the Beverly Hills estate previously owned by billionaire real estate magnate and 2022 Los Angeles mayoral candidate Rick Caruso topped the list of the most expensive home sales during August, according to a new report from Redfin.
Two of the most expensive home sales of the month involved celebrities – a coastal compound in Miami Beach previously owned by Rosie O’Donnell, and an oceanfront Kauai property where Julia Roberts once resided. All 10 of the homes sold for over $25 million and the top two sold for more than $40 million.

- 214 Clapboard Ridge Rd., Greenwich, Connecticut 06831: Sold for $43.5 million
- 1013 Lakeshore Blvd., Incline Village, Nevada 89451: Sold for $37.5 million
- 43 Star Island Dr., Miami Beach 33139: Sold for $36 million
- 33 Arvida Pkwy, Coral Gables, Florida 33156: Sold for $34 million
- 109 E. 79th St., Unit 16, New York City 10075: Sold for $33 million
- 68 La Gorce Circle, Miami Beach 33141: Sold for $32.7 million
- 419 Sheridan Rd., Winnetka, Illinois 60093: Sold for $31.3 million
- 1200 S. Ocean Blvd., Manapapan, Florida 33462: Sold for $28 million
- 5-8192 Kuhio Hwy, Hanalei, Hawaii 96714: Sold for $27.6 million
