HGTV has unveiled the 2026 iteration of its Dream Home competition, with this year’s residence in the form of a newly built, fully furnished waterfront retreat located on the shores of Lake Wylie in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The winner of this year’s sweepstakes will receive the keys to the home, which spans more than 3,000 square feet and includes three bedrooms and three-and-a-half-bathrooms. The lakefront property also includes a two-story dock, and the grand prize also includes $100,000 in cash.
The home was built by Knotts Builders, with an interior design by Brian Patrick Flynn, and it is located 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte. The official entry period of the HGTV Dream Home 2026 giveaway is 9:00 a.m. ET on Dec. 16 through 5:00 p.m. ET on Feb. 13, 2026, and eligible fans can enter daily at HGTV.com and FoodNetwork.com. The property will be featured in a one-hour special broadcast on New Year’s Day at 8:00 pm ET on HGTV, which will also be available on HBO Max and Discovery+ the same day.
