QuadReal Property Group, the Vancouver-headquartered real estate investment, development and operating company, announced the appointment of R. Scott Hutcheson as its new board chairman.
Hutcheson, who joined the board in September 2023, is the executive chairman of Aspen Properties, a commercial real estate company based in Calgary, and is also chairman of Invest Alberta Corporation. He will assume his new role on New Year’s Day.
Hutcheson replaces Thomas Garbutt, who is stepping down after serving as chairman since 2018. The company also announced Rita Achrekar and J. Lorne Braithwaite are retiring from the board of directors after serving since 2022 and 2017, respectively.
