Kristina K. Williams announced that she will retire later year as president and chief executive officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines (FHLB Des Moines).
Williams has served in this position since January 2020. Prior to her current role, she served as the chief operating officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh from 2011 to 2019. She joined the Pittsburgh bank in 2004 as chief accounting officer, and earlier in her career she was chief financial officer of wholesale banking for PNC Financial Services Group.
A succession committee has been formed and has retained an executive search firm to identify a successor for Williams, who will continue to lead the bank until her successor is in place.
“Serving as CEO of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines has been the greatest professional honor of my career,” said Williams. “I have had the privilege of working alongside an exceptional team whose integrity, resilience and commitment to our members and their communities define who we are as a bank. I am confident that the bank is well positioned for the future.”
