A record number of homes worth more than $1 million were sold in Texas between November 2024 and October 2025, according to data from Texas Realtors.

The 14,418 homes sold during this period represented a 12% increase year-over-year increase. The combined value of $24.5 billion also set a new record, while the median sales price for this sector was $1.37 million.

Roughly 90% of the $1 million-plus homes were in the state’s four largest metro areas: Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington (38%), Houston-Pasadena-The Woodlands (27%), Austin-Round Rock-San Marcos (19%), and San Antonio-New Braunfels (5%); the rest of Texas as a whole sold 11%.

Texas Realtors also observed more housing was priced above $1 million during 2025 – 32,793 homes, compared to 28,325 the year before.

“Luxury home sales are small but powerful,” said Jennifer Wauhob, president of Texas Realtors. “Texans trust the value of these properties, whether it’s for their incredible amenities, their great location, or both.”
